SEEKONK REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE ENDORSES HOWITT
The Seekonk Republican Committee voted last night to endorse Republican primary candidates Steven Howitt for State Representative for the Fourth Bristol District and Kevin Scott, candidate for US Senate.
The Committee believes Steven Howitt to be the best candidate for the position of State Representative. Steven is a third generation resident of the 4th Bristol District. He is committed, caring, and concerned about the citizens and their future. Steven is a successful, diligent self-employed businessman, taxpayer, and job-creator who knows the meaning of hard work and fiscal discipline.
Steven Howitt is accessible and approachable and willing and able to listen to the constituency. He has made himself available to the community and the public, and continues to go door-to-door to meet with the people he hopes to represent. He is willing to listen, and furthermore, will be willing to act. He has worked hard in his campaign, and will work equally as hard to bring attention to the Towns of Seekonk, Swansea, Norton and Rehoboth on Beacon Hill.
The Seekonk Republican Committee is in agreement with Steven's platform which is to Roll back the income tax to 5% as voted in 2000. Oppose any new taxes. Bring additional state funds home for our communities, schools, public safety, our families, and our elderly. Provide affordable housing for those in need. Change under funded and/or unfunded mandates forced on our towns by state legislature. Ensure our programs benefit our citizens, not illegal aliens. Advocate for Jessica's Law and Melanie's Law. Protect our Second Amendment rights.
Steven Howitt is the right choice at the right time to work for the people of the 4th Bristol District. The Seekonk Republican Committee asks you to cast your ballot for the best person to represent us. We are proud to endorse Steven Howitt for State Representative.
