PRIVACY POLICY
The only personal information collected is information you give us for the benefit of the Committee to Elect Steven Howitt. We will not sell your personal information to any third parties or commercial entities. The personal information requested about your financial contribution is required by federal law. The law requires us to obtain the following information: name, mailing address, employer, occupation, and amount of contribution. Federal law requires us to report this information to the Office of Campaign and Political Finance (OCPF) if an individual’s contribution or contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a single election cycle. Contributions from corporations, government contractors, foreign nationals without a “green card,” and minors (individuals under the age of 18) are prohibited. Any credit card information provided is only used to immediately process your donation. The Committee does not retain your credit card information once the donation is processed online.
Notice to Governmental Employees and Request Not to Forward Fundraising Solicitations to Governmental Employees
The Committee to Elect Steven Howitt does not intend any fundraising materials or solicitations to be opened in buildings occupied for state, county or municipal purposes. If a fundraising solicitation is inadvertently sent to a governmental email address, any public employees or elected officials who receive the message at that address should take no action in response to the solicitation other than to reply to us to advise that their email address should be removed from the list. The Committee requests that any recipient of a fundraising solicitation not forward, disseminate, distribute or otherwise copy that email to a governmental email address. Emails that discuss issues, policies, etc., but do not solicit funds are not subject to these rules.
